Gundam Arcade Pods Senjou no Kizuna, Shinjuku
Hoy me he echado una partidilla al arcade de Gundam Pods Senjou no Kizuna en Shinjuku. Todo gracias a un japones que me ha visto con ganas de hincarle el diente y sin tener ni idea de como.
Gracias a él he podido hacerme una tarjeta de jugador para poder usar la maquinita en cuestión, que es como una cabina donde te metes y compites contra otros 7 robots más, todos de la serie Gundam. Lo increíble es la pantalla de 180º de visión hacia todos los lados.

He encontrado un videte en Youtube bastante mejorcillo que el mio, en el que solo suelto tacos, jejeje, ya lo subiré de todas formas...
Por cierto, ha sido la primera vez que jugaba, no tenía ni idea de nada ya que todo estaba en japonés y aun así he quedado primero en los dos combates. Me los meriendo a estos frikis japoneses...
La verdad es que "juego" con ventaja, que soy un profesional, jejejeje
Mañana me llevaré mi tarjetita en el bolsillo por si acaso.
Por cierto, también he estado en el museo de arte contemporáneo viendo una exposición de Kazuo Oga creador de los fondos de la pelis de Miyazaki.

Karaoke y Ryoko Hirosue-【Daisuki】
He ido unas cuantas veces a Karaokes, y he de decir que me lo he pasado en grande.
Me parece a mí que los occidentales nos lo tomamos de manera algo menos seria que en Asia, porque cuando he ido con amigos japoneses me han dicho a los pocos días que nunca se lo habían pasado tan bien en un karaoke, jejeje
Una amiga se cantó esta canción tan simpática y entrañable:
Por cierto, hay un truquillo muy fácil para los que hablamos castellano y queremos ir a un karaoke: cuando llegas te cobran distintos precios dependiendo de lo que quieras tomar, pero si dices "no mi hodai" sí, sí, como lo oyes, suena igual que "no me jodáis" pues tienes barra libre, pagando claro. Imposible de olvidar.
También tienen comida...
Y cierran de madrugada...

Se acabó el proyecto, días muy largos y más frikeces...
Por fin, por fin se ha terminado el proyecto, el juego ahora está en manos del destino, y de algunos programadores haciendo cambios de último minuto. No me gustaría estar en su pellejo. Muchos duermen en la oficina y no salen ni para comer, tienen que pedir comida por teléfono...

Sam - one year later
August 24 was our first anniversary of Sam's arrival day. Pictures then and now...
It's been kind of a whirlwind month. We spent a busy week at Donner Lake, and between being gone 2 weeks in July and a week in August I'm still feeling behind at work. I also decided to make some slideshows for Alex and Sam, for her 3rd birthday and his 1st arrival day, and this was fun but pretty time-consuming. I tried to post one of them on YouTube but it never did work despite multiple tries - I'm guessing the 35 MB file size was too much, though the YouTube site says my limit is 100 MB. Oh well.
So this Saturday was Alex's 2nd 3rd birthday party, with family and friends at the park. It was really fun, the weather was perfect, and we had a great turnout - I think everyone we invited showed up (33 people counting ourselves and kids)- but between getting up early to work out, working on slideshows, planning and cleaning up after this party I'm feeling exhausted! But I couldn't be happier. Feeling so grateful for my life. :-)
We had the party at Wheeler Farm, a pretty park with large lawns and little streams that are instant kid-magnets. At one point my friend Nancy rescued Sam just as he was leaning over the stream and looked like he might fall in, and later in the evening Bryan looked for Sam and saw him standing in another little stream! Yikes!. I should have been keeping a better eye on him, but I was also trying to rescue Alex from bees, serve dinner to 2 kids, carry stuff from car to table, make party punch, and have some semblance of conversation with friends I hadn't seen in awhile. The older kids at the party were a lifesaver as they helped entertain little kids and keep them from wandering too far. Thanks to Nancy, Alex finally got her beloved bunny cake, with blue M&Ms for eyes, red string licorice whiskers and mouth, and chocolate chip nose. At the end we lit up the remaining sparklers from 4th of July which attracted not only the kids at our party but also random kids from the park who wanted to get in on the action.
After all the excitement I thought the kids would crash. Sam did, but Alex was up until MIDNIGHT playing in her room - since we put the big girl bed in, she is loving the freedom. I think we may have to curtail or end her afternoon naps if we want her to sleep at night.

Worrisome
Is anybody else concerned about the precarious position that Lindsay Lohan is finding herself in these days? If it were someone I knew I would be sounding the alarm and calling for an intervention as soon as possible. It seems that the downwards spiral in which she is trapped in is gathering alarming momentum. For someone who has recently hit rock bottom she seems to be going to great lengths to prove that there is yet another level below.

I recently watched "The Parent Trap" on television in England, and the fresh-faced kid with the charming smile back then has taken a terribly incorrect turn on the path of her relatively short life. To have fallen so far in such a short period of time is quite sad, I must say. Lindsay, although I'm not really a fan and I follow your news sporadically, as a fellow human being I must say that I'm very worried at what might come next. Trust me, its much more satisfying to fade away after a long and fruitful life than to burn out before you hit 25. Get your shit together before its too late.

La espada de Berserk y sushi...
Hoy nos han dado otra sorpresita en el trabajo (no es la primera) y aparte de traernos unos dulces de Osaka muy ricos, nos han pedido un montón de comida y hemos estado todos comiendpo como occidentales, liándola un poco y haciendo el moñas con una réplica de la espada de Berserk.

Manu Chao, Emir Kusturica y Wozniak. Rainin' In Paradize
Unos de mis directores favoritos, Emir Kusturica ("Black Cat, White Cat", "Blue Gipsy", "Underground"...) ha hecho un vídeo para un nuevo tema de Manu Chao, ex lider de una de mis bandas favoritas, Mano Negra. La canción se llama Rainin' In Paradize.
Wozniak, el pintor polaco, también ha hecho un vídeo para la misma canción.

He ido a un estudio de sonido para grabar unas vocecillas para el juego (del que no puedo hablar :P)
